Excluding pre-2000, Id' say PPF for quality of gigs and songs played.
To be honest, aside from the Lifeblood dates I went to which were very mediocre, no one tour was overall a negative experience, although the SATT winter dates didn't exactly set my world on fire. |

Am I the only one who has gone for the greatest hits tour?! Lol.
I thought that was brilliant, Manics the best I've ever seen them, EPIC setlist, a couple of surprises along the way... I missed the lifeblood tour though and have only heared good things about that.

Ah i see. I saw them in London on that tour. I thought it was all part of the Lifeblood tour.

It kind of bridged the gap. They were still playing a lot of Lifeblood at that point, but they weren't actively promoting the album anymore, really. I consider the Lifeblood tour to be the arena tour that happened December 2004/January 2005.

PPF was by far the best I've seen since I became a fan. |

Lifeblood for me, first tour where a 2nd guitarist was used and brought a lot of their old songs some renewed vigour - they could really go through their old material a lot more since this development and would surprise themselves with how good it sounds.

PPF for the setlist, but SATT winter for the energy.

While I think they found a renewed vigour on the road with SATT, the lights and sound since then have been poor. I've gone with the KYE era - my first gig (Brixton first night) was incredible and they were on top form at the CIA in the summer, great setlist.

Well i voted for lifeblood tour as the Dublin gig on that tour is my favourite manics gig. The Hammersmith gig on the PPF comes in second. Seven different THB tracks between both gigs. That stopped my whinging about them not playing enough off it for a few years. I am ready to start whinging again

Really wish I had done PPF for the setlists. But alas I wasn't a fan then, I was a naive young 'un with no knowledge of the Manics.
I enjoyed both the SATT (for 1985, Roses, Slash N Burn, and 4 Ever Delayed) and JFPL (for the album in full) tours, but my three JFPL USA tour dates are easily my favourites. Just such an adventure and so fun for everyone. The Royal Festival Hall gig was amazing but not really included in a tour so doesn't count. |

JFPL was probably the best out of the ones I've been to but thoroughly enjoyed them all!

Setlist on PPF gig I went to was great but for me my favourite gig will always my first time of seeing them in December 2004 in Manchester.
