Manics opened Cardiff’s New Library

The Manics opened the new library in Cardiff on the 18th June, and unveiled a plaque with the words ‘Libraries gave us power’.

Jeremy Deller Manics exhibition

‘The Uses of Literacy’, an exhibition by Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller, featuring the Manics, is now on show at the Bothy Gallery in Yorkshire’s Sculpture Park. The exhibition consists of paintings, collages, drawings and other work by fans of the band. See here for more information and for visiting information.

Patrick Jones is to launch his new CD album of poems set to music Tongues for a Stammering Time at a Chapter Arts Launch Night in Y Llofft, Cardiff, on the 30th May 2009. This will also feature many of the artists who have contributed to the music (Martyn Joseph, Amy Wadge, Stacey Blythe, Defiance of God, Steve Balsamo (tbc) and Lethargy).
