CTRNR better still be in the set for Cardiff, that's all I'm saying.

I know Nicky was also teasing stuff like Sorrow 16 and Comfort Comes for Cardiff, so who knows, we may get different oddities on each night of this tour.

It sounds like a good gig. I hope Nicky can get some good physio today and tomorrow.

I loved GP. Certainly wasn't expecting it, and Condemned - just awesome. Got a totally lost voice this morning. Still, Comfort Comes would've made my life...

I hope not, I really want to hear it. Still, their usual deal for the last few tours seems to have been something really rare kept for every night.

Condemned won't be dropped, James had to pull the stops out to nail that song. Golden Platitudes will be replaced by few other mid tempo numbers I imagine. They will have to have a hits heavy second set for the home festival crowd at Cardiff and seeing that set either will be the same length or shorter I think, I doubt Comfort Comes will get an airing there unless they drop walk me to the bridge or the acoustic slot.

First time I've missed the first night of a Manics UK tour for a while (I am at a festival), did not expect to receive several texts saying 'CONDEMNED!' Exciting, always been a favourite and would love to hear that live. Tonight's the last night of Temples Festival so tomorrow I'm going straight to Wolverhampton for the boys.

Few interesting picks there, never thought I'd see Golden Platitudes return. Ever. And Condemned... never thought that would get played by the band in full, ever. I bet it rocked!!! Wonder if it'll be the same for the Cardiff gig that will be filmed?

If they drop You Stole the Sun and put in something like Comfort Comes or Sorrow 16, I think we're on to a winner of a set for Cardiff. Or even a JFPL song or two.

It's a pipe dream, I know.

Would have preferred to see Auto Intoxication get its first outing, if they were plaing anything from Postcards, but good to see the first full-length (and full band) performance of Condemned! Tempted to pop down to Southampton...

Amazing gig last night. Super-energetic crowd, James was totally on form, and the venue was lovely. It was exactly the gig I want a Manics gig to be.

Aside from two points. First, was The Everlasting. It's one of my favourite Manics songs, but James playing it acoustic against a backing track just left me feeling a little short-changed. Worse was the solo, consisting of James just strumming the chords, in place of where his single-most beautifully emotive solo should naturally be. They didn't even include it on the backing track.

And then Golden Platitudes. I can think of no more heinous a crime in music than stealing Motown Junk's rightful place on the setlist in favour of that dreary sack of shit. Lots of people checking their phones during that song, and who can blame them?

Condemned To Rock n Roll, though. Fuck me, that was awesome.
