I have a video from Oxford '91 where james guitar falls off and richey can be seen and heard playing the chords to repeat. nothin special like.

Does richey play guitar on any studio recordings?
Sorry for bombing this board with so many questions, but here it goes: a friend of mine resently told me that Richey didnīt play on any of the studio recordings. But I Have a distinct feeling he did. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Single strums on the intro of Tristesse and rumoured rhythm on No Surface All Feeling. I don't believe there are any other instances.

hmmm......"rumoured" rythm.....this is better than Syd Barrettīs lost recordings from 1974.

I think that the rythm guitar at the end of No Surface all Feeling is sure. That's why they didn't re-recorded it after his dissapereance, because he had recorded a guitar part for it. I think that some producer or who confirmed it.

The way I see it, Richey was a more sober, artier, androgynous version of Bez from the Mondays...
