manics convention?

I just saw on old news article about a Manics fan convention in Wales back in 1999. Did anyone go? Was it any good? Will there be more?!

Was it like a Star Trek convention with people walking around dressed as the various eras of Richey?

Nowadays it wouldn't be called a convention... it would be a battle royale.

it was at Cardiff Uni, there were fanzine stalls during the day, Patrick Jones did a reading and Simon Price showed up and then the tribute band played in the evening.

It was really hot from memory and me and Emily sold loads of copies of Delirium and got utterly rat-arsed on the proceeds.

I think there would be a fair few fights if there was ever to be one held.

You'd have to have really minor characters there too, maybe Naysmith, Hall or Nothingj and Jenny Whatshername-Doodah!

WHERE!!!????) Met Patrick (I think....) and met Simon Price, didn't have a clue at the time who he was, he asked me did i want my poster signing and I said No....Hahaha! I think it's comical everytime I think about it! It was good though, or so I thought....8 years ago, wow!

I don't, people who argue online very rarely seem to do it when they meet up.
