Come on Great British record buying public! Prove Pennyroyalty wrong! (Or else!)

I won't really think it'll be mass hit either but it'll chart fairly well (not much competition that week) and might make it to a minor hit status.

I will almost literally die if this happens.

Which means the leaks will float as well, much sooner than in the JFPL era. Still not a fan of this promo policy which obviously leads to leaks.

Had my subscribers edition of Q yesterday - there is a Manics in the studio feature! Only had time for a brief paruse through but they said Golden Platitudes (I think it was Golden Platitudes) had a Maggie May feel to it. Hah!

I feel exactly the same and it's driving me mad to think they could chuck away all the good they did with JFPL and SATT's. This had a real feel of let down-I hope I'm wrong. I think the only way they would sound amazing again and top EMG is if they suffered some personal hardship or upset and used that to fuel the writing process. They seem to be stuck in a repeat of SATT's TGW and trying to recreate EMG. Where's the PASSION boys????????????

Would anyone care to speculate as to when we might see a leak emerging?

I will say end of next week.

I think it will leak about a month from now.
I'm definitely not downloading if it does leak this time, no matter how much I want to hear it. I want to get the old feeling of listening to my CD on the day of release. I've downloaded too many leaks and when the album is actually released i feel some sort of anti climax.

It'll leak before too long, it's sadly the case these days. I won't bother, I'll wait.

From The Fly Magazine twitter

Quote:
Manics LP sounds ginormous - big-riffed, massively-chorused FM-rock. On the Ian McCulloch song now - group hug singalong... WOWSERS.
Quote:
Plus loads of twin guitar solos - the threat of being overshadowed by a big fucking string section's got JDB turning up to 11, Spinal-style.

That Fly Magazine twitter whets the appetite a bit. I'd really love a massive anthemic EMG style album.
