Solidarity / Door to the River placement in your top 10

OK, so if both albums were released separately, sold separately, like Use Your Illusion I and II -- where would they place them in your ranking?

Personally, I do view them as separate pieces of art fully worth the LP tag. Door to the River is a strikingly complete musical statement, much more so than the original KYE or, say, Resistance is Futile. A pinch-me-am-I-dreaming 60s themed transition between TIMTTY and KYE. Solidarity is closer to the "hot mess" concept of KYE, a little rougher sure (exchanging FTS and IA is almost a must) but still feels like a whole album to me: electronically charged socialist rockers somewhere between KYE and Forever Delayed/Lifeblood. With a clear anti-American theme and to me the best closing trio of songs in their career, an absolutely stunning closing statement of sadness and disgust.

I also find myself listening to them like I listen to albums -- in separate folders with separate album art. I've been mostly into DTTS, but am now getting into Solidarity a lot, especially starting with Freedom of Speech to get to the stellar ending faster. It's a totally different ride than DTTS, thick, muscular, bright rock music with extreme creative turns. Extraverted and energetic.

So here's my honeymoon period take keeping the original album in too:

1. Lifeblood
2. The Holy Bible
3. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours
4. Door to the River
5. Everything Must Go
6. Solidarity
7. Know Your Enemy
8. Futurology
9. The Ultra Vivid Lament
10. Resistance Is Futile
11. Rewind the Film
12. Journal for Plague Lovers
13. Gold Against the Soul
14. Generation Terrorists
15. Postcards From a Young Man
