I haven't heard a sausage on the forthcoming record, only fan speculation that it will be out in 2011
As for No Manifesto....probably 2011 as well. The filmmakers don't know themselves so that's not good news if you ask me.

Van Halen and the supremes. It came from the channel bee interview at T in the park. The website got taken down though and they never even got part 2 up. Its not obvious that its on youtube but someone might be able to help you. I can't really remember the context though, just the bits of the interview about stuff like how cod is his favourite meat.

Also, from the independant piece on the US tour:

Quote:
I'm leaving the tour the next morning and Nicky gives me a going-away present, a little bundle of postcards and some William Blake stickers. On one of the postcards he has written the working title of their new LP: It's Not War – Just the End of Love. I ask him what it's going to be like. "Commercial," he says, grinning wickedly.

I haven't heard anything about the new album save little snippets, but nothing on the tone of it.

I have to say, I hope it's not commercial like Send Away The Tigers, as IMO this was their worst album.. Van Halen? Sounds like they're going for a mix of Generation Terrorists and Send Away the Tigers..

Oh well!

I don't know anything about the new album, but No Manifesto is finished, and we are currently trying to work out a distribution strategy with Sony. We intend that the film will be out some time this year. We want it to be released just as much as you do!

I certainly won't be paying £100+ to see some documentary.

*Envisions the premiere being in a 50-seat screen*
