Manic Street Preachers bassist Nicky Wire admits he has no clue what some of the new songs on his band's latest album actually mean.
All words on the Welsh rockers's upcoming album will feature lyrics from missing guitarist Richey Edwards.
The band used five poems of his on their 1996 breakthrough album Everything Must Go, but held back others. However, they've now dig out the lost lyrics to celebrate "the genius and intelligence" of their missing friend.
Wire said: "Lyrically, some of it is pretty impenetrable even to us - and we knew him pretty well.
"We don't know what he's talking about half the time because he's not around to tell us.
"We've had these lyrics for 14 years and we all felt certain that this was the right time to do it."
According to the band, the new album could be out as early as next spring.
