Manic Street Preachers frontman James Dean Bradfield has slammed rumours he is leaving the band to go solo.
The Welsh singer insists the band will be back despite his solo single That's No Way To Tell A Lie - out July 10 - and debut album The Great Western.
He said: "After our 2004 album Lifeblood we decided people deserved a rest from the Manics. At the end of our last tour I said you wouldn't see us for two years and I meant it.
"I missed writing songs and performing music, so I thought, 'I've got to garner some self-confidence to write stuff of my own'.
"Seeing 'words and music by James Dean Bradfield' made me happy. I've lost a bit of my insecurity."
