The parents of missing Manic Street Preachers' lyricist and guitarist, Richey Edwards, are flying to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands to investigate recent sightings in the area.

According to reports on local Welsh television, Sherry and Graham Edwards are leaving Blackwood to fly to the Islands to investigate reports that a man in a bar, who fled when challenged, is the missing lyricist responsible for much of their 1994 classic album, The Holy Bible.
