Manics Added to Arthur's Day Line up - Ireland 26/09/13

Last time they played they did a small acoustic gig in a pub and St James Brewery in Dublin in 2010

I'd be delighted if they played Cork, or even Limerick. Another Dublin date a few days after The Olympia gig would piss me right off.

If they're playing with Bobby Womack I'll definitely go. With Janelle Monae maybe. Not arsed with the Olympia.

Repped.

15 years since they last visited the Rebel county (almost exactly 30.08.98 - Cork Opera House. Where has my youth gone?)

Unless they holiday in Fountainstown or something.

Yes, twice last year, can't complain, but whenever I can't go to see them in the UK I feel down. And an acoustic tour is something I'd love.

I'm not entirely sure. You buy your ticket for a tenner and I presume they announce a few days before hand where the bands are playing? It says there are five events this year so...

I'm not arsed about seeing the Manics main gig as it'll only be 5 or so songs. I really want to see the pub gig though. Missing them in '10 at Sinnotts still pisses me off. I'm even going to Sinnotts tonight for the fooseball

So they don't announce who's playing where until the day of the gig when people have already got a ticket for a specific venue. Knowing my luck I'd end up with The Script or Soredeline. Don't have a ticket anyway.

I presumed it was just a general 'Arthur's Day' ticket, but I guess they can't have everyone going to the same venue so...

Then you probably would have a few thousand gobshites trying to get into a pub to see The Script.

I heard from a good source that it could be Cork they're playing on Arthur's Day. I have no other information though.

Golden Plec rumours page.

It seems like they'll be updating it as they go which is good. No mention of the guys yet. The Boards.ie Thread will be a good place too.

Sounds like Biffy Clyro are playing the Limelight in Belfast and Emelie Sandi could be in Rearden's in Cork. Could the Manics be going to Galway? Dun dun duuun!

Ah fuck, I was talking to the tour bus driver, Phil, after the gig at Bristol and he mentioned that they were off to Ireland and I didn't think to ask where! But I can confirm, it's somewhere in Ireland. Hope that helps.

It doesn't does it? Sorry.
