Between No Manifesto finally surfacing and The Holy Bible in a fucking castle, I'd feel cheeky to ask for anything else. Be nice if some of the merch from the last tour made it onto the site, could've probably afforded a t-shirt or two if I had a few less pints.. I can't see there being any new material this year, if they don't release anything this year it's still two albums in three years which is good going by anyone's standards these days. As far as gigs go, they've been really fucking weird about announcing them last couple of tours. The last tour was announced relatively short notice, what 2 months? The one before, 6 months notice and this one same again but announced during a tour.. I wouldn't be massively surprised if they spring an announcement in the coming weeks for some March/April gigs on the continent but I hope not cos I'll wanna go and I can't afford it cos I'm supposed to be moving in a couple of months!

They should do a 10th Anniversary edition of God Save the Manics; Knock up a load of remixes, put it on vinyl as well, include a tape with Nicky Wire vocals, do a 45 minute documentary about recording God Save the Manics, get Patrick Jones to knock up some videos, Nicky Wire can take some pictures for a photo book and stick it all in a big box-£40. People would buy it...

Just hope they keep being inspired to write stuff. Don't mind waiting for releases if they're as good as the last two.
Think they're flagship albums for re-releases are GT, THB and EMG - don't rate Truth as a flagship album or as having quality b-sides. They didn't even play much stuff from it when they toured with it originally, so can't see what doing nostalgia gigs for it would actually be saying. A reimagined version of Tolerate as we approach the election would probably get some attention - but I'd hate the idea and the BNP might try to use it again. |

I definitely want to hear a lot more of Nicky in 2015, whether it be vocals on a new Manics album or another solo project.
They're not declining as I thought they would, although their direction changes once in a while, they just keep getting better and better in my opinion. I have to keep reminding myself that they are getting old

2015 - I can see the first few months being fairly quiet. Then a run of maybe european dates, festivals and the UK tour. Then I think the band will disappear quietly, especially with the training James and Sean will have to undertake for their trek in Patagonia!
2016 - Will see very little from them, maybe working quietly on new material. 2017 - Maybe the aforementioned film soundtrack and/or a new album 2018 - If no new album in 2017, then I think almost certainly this year.

Personally I think it's high time for another James solo record.
The Great Western 2: The Buffet Cart, just in time for the 10th anniversary next year. Perhaps the next Manics one could have more of the bonkers Nicky-written songs.

I'd be delighted with anything at all, but the rest of the O2 tracks being made publically available would be a great gesture.

I agree they could do with a few years off to rejuvenate and refocus.
But I also want them to think "OK, one more record and then we hibernate for a couple of years!" |

Completely agree with this sentiment!

What would be nice, but has little chance of happening is for Kieran Evans videos be made available on one DVD. A few other extras on the disc would be nice but I really can't see it happening. Shame.

I'm hoping for a Richey re-appearance. Apart from that can't see much else happening.

To wish impossible things:
- a not too expensive concert in Seoul, (im)possibly the northern part of the city, and with good weather, although I'd be well suffering cold and rain for that too; - the soundtrack it has been mentioned; - James, Nicky and Sean as voice actors of an indie animated film or short series. - Manics as special guests in our university... okay, now I'm daydreaming. Predictions: - Maybe that soundtrack thing is possible; - Taking a long rest from the rock scene, eventually reuniting to play at local pubs, if in the mood.
