at two manics concerts I was at at the Olympia the touts got burned really badly (serves them right), they seriously overestimated demand and ended up not being able to sell tickets at €15 outside the gig.

This may be different but if anyone is local and didn't get a ticket (and if further aren't released) there is no harm in heading to the venue on the offchance and maybe picking up a bargain ticket.

Just on the off chance anyone finds themselves with a spare at any point, give me a shout as it looks like my cousin has missed out on maintaining her 100% Dublin gig attendance record.

Got myself an Upper Circle ticket. Tried to get a Circle ticket but that was sold out at 10 a.m. Can't wait for this and there was me worried the thing had sold out after I couldn't get a Circle ticket.

A real kick in the teeth, been to see the lads almost every time in the Olympia so not being able to get a ticket at 9am is tough to take. Definitely think they should have done a pre sale given the limited nature of the tour, absolutely gutted

I'm hearing this from quite a few people that they couldn't get a ticket at 9 or 9.10am but I got a seated ticket in the Upper Circle at 10am. Was your heart purely set on standing for the show?

Would have taken any ticket, was trying to get 'best available ' for a good half hour and no joy! Massively disappointing and don't live in Dublin so not sure I can travel up on a prayer looking for a ticket

It's official on the MSP website that the Dublin gig has sold out. Apparently the shows in England sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale.

That really is crazy. I completely underestimated the demand. So glad I raced through those red lights on the way home from the school run and made it to my computer at 8.59am.

I don't know if it was mentioned yet, and sorry if it was, but there is a cheap and good hostel off O'Connell St called Abbey Court in Dublin, check it on booking.com, it has good reviews, and perfect location.

The gig is gonna be epic, I can't wait...
Have a nice week-end everyone!
