Hi everybody! I've seen your collections!! You are great! I could never reach you! I've just spent 200€ to collect every MSP single, some of them are not original relases but it's ok!!!
I've seen some of you has got the UK Channel Boredom... But is it only a vinyl? Or there also an official or semi-official cd relase?
Thanks! Marco.

There are some amazing collections here! Mine's pretty pitiful compared:

Singles:

New Art Riot (12")
New Art Riot (CD)
A Design For Life (CD 1)
A Design For Life (CD 2)
Kevin Carter (CD 1)
The Everlasting (CD 1)
The Everlasting (CD 2)
You Stole The Sun From My Heart (CD 1)
Tsunami (CD 1)
Found That Soul (CD)
So Why So Sad (CD)
Ocean Spray (CD 1)
Ocean Spray (CD 2)
There By the Grace Of God (CD 2)
The Love Of Richard Nixon (CD 1)
The Love Of Richard Nixon (CD 2)
The Love Of Richard Nixon (DVD)
Empty Souls (CD 1)
Empty Souls (CD 2)
Empty Souls (DVD)
God Save The Manic EP (CD)

Albums:

Generation Terrorists (CD)
Gold Against The Soul (CD)
Everything Must Go (CD)
This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours (CD)
Know Your Enemy (CD)
Forever Delayed: The Greatest Hits (CD) (Limited Edition with remix CD)
Lipstick Traces: A Secret History (CD) (Digipack)
Lifeblood (CD)
The Holy Bible (10th Anniversary Edition) (CD)

Others:

Everything - Simon Price (Book)
Black & White Everything Must Go "Manic Street Preachers on tour" poster
Black & White "This Is My Truth..." tour poster detailing September and December tours
Know Your Enemy promotional poster
"Louder Than War" Live in Cuba (DVD)

I think that's everything...not very impressive considering I don't even have the original Holy Bible!! Shocking. Only things of any note are really the God Save The Manics EP and the original New Art Riot 12". The posters are cool too.

*EDIT* I have everything James and Nicky have done.

Hi there,

LTRFTP(oster) - Just a couple of pics for you:

1 - Some Suicide Alley's, a FIB and a UKCB 7 inch:

2 - New Art Riot 12 inchers (inc w-l promo and 'grey' coloured vinyl?! - don't ask?!)

Sorry about the poor quality - if I post any more, I'll sort it out!

Now, back to bed and back to the real world...

'UK Channel Boredom' was released a 7" vinyl flexi-disc (one-sided) and was given away with 'Hopelessly Devoted' and 'Goldmining' fanzines in early 1990, for a charge of 50p! - If I can find my copy of 'Goldmining', I'll eventually put up a shot.

The disc was also available separately from the fanzine sellers - thus, it was never 'bootlegged' or 're-pressed' as widely speculated. 1000 copies are known to exist - although given the quality of the vinyl, some didn't even have grooves!

The track was originally recorded at SBS but was re-recorded as 'Vision of Dead Desire' for the 'You Love Us' CD on Columbia in 1992.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if it is possible to find the UK Channel Boredom song in some of the semi-official cd bootlegs? I mean, i would like to find a definitive version of that song (in terms of quality). I'm not into vinyl... And i don't like the mp3's quality...!

Hi - I'm not sure. Bootleg CD's are not really my bag - If I were you I would stay with the MP3 version (widely available,) as either way, any recording of the song would have come directly from one of the vinyl flexi-discs which have a notoriously terrible audio quality because they are so cheap to press... Unless somebody, somewhere has the original studio copy?!...

It's a great track, but personally I think this is only because of the way that it came about!

I think that is a Bootleg I made from some really old tapes I aquired before I knew much about this place. Tried to master them the best I could...
Hope I didn't charge too much for it,

They were selling like hot cakes for a while, I felt a little bad at the time but it helped me for my university savings!!!

Can't remember the title I gave it, tried to come up with some creative ones!!!

no worries. i think i only paid a tenner for it (which i also bought with another bootleg CD --3rd CD on the bottom row). i've done my share of "bootlegging" shows to pay for school expenses. i don't do it anymore because i don't think there's a market for it with P2P and, of course, FD S&V.
