I hope Futurology doesn't go the same way as Lifeblood has with the band. I wish Lifeblood didn't go the way of Lifeblood! Wonder if they're going to pull out any of the half they've not played off it, disappointing that they've only played six songs off it and two of them are just the once so far. This can't be it..?

http://www.manicstreetpreachers.com/...-shows-support "The band will play two sets per night at each date. The first, beginning at 8.45 prompt, will feature The Holy Bible in full. After a ten-minute break, the band will play a second set featuring songs from Futurology as well as curios and a handful of classic hits. " I really hope some album tracks like Black Square and Between the Clock and the Bed will be played, rather than the singles. |

Promising. Would love to hear Lat Jet To Leave Moscow and even Hugheskova. Imagine if they opened the second set with that.

slightly disappointed they're doing THB first, at 8:45pm - doesn't seem right so early.
saw the J&MC play Psychocandy last month; that was a 6-7 song set of other stuff, before a slight break then the album in full - worked really well, and I thought the THB shows could've followed a similar line: 8-10 song 'hits' set, leave stage, 'Yes' sample plays to kick off THB in full, night ends on PCP and a fairly apt final lyric and sample. anyway, prior / following THB or not, I think we'll get a fairly standard set with minimal curios: Motorcycle Emptiness Your Love Alone Is Not Enough Walk Me To The Bridge Everything Must Go Europa Geht Durch Mich If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next Show Me The Wonder Donkeys* My Little Empire* You Love Us Futurology A Design For Life *token efforts to justify "curios" comment.

i'd almost pay extra $$$ at the door for them not to play your love alone/show me the wonder/tolerate/tsunami/you stole the sun! petition anyone? |

If it doesn't get a DVD, then I'm hoping I spend humanities last few moments on the planet going on about how the Manics should take that two set shows as far around the World as it is possible to go. |

Yeah, kill two birds with one stone and make the curios from Futurology. All we are saying is give Sex, Power, Love and Money a chance. It's Christmas.

A Design For Life would be the obvious opener following THB, surely? then You Love Us or Motown Junk to close.

Happy to hear Tolerate and ADFL at every Manics gig ever, but YSTSFMH, INW(JTEOL), Tsunami, YLAINE, SMTW, Tsunami, & The Everlasting - this is not the gig for them!
Last Jet would be awesome, if they are playing Futurology songs. Hope it's not the four we've already heard. And it seems like we are going to hear Donkeys, which is cool.

and don't be surprised if the three london gigs are identical...I'd imagine second set opening with motorcycle and finishing with design for life.
