Great show last night, I was exhausted and ill but I'm so glad I went, I felt like I was seeing things when Nicky did his star solo turn on No Feelings!

Not impressed by Wembley security though...a group of people in front of me (few rows back on Nicky's side) actually sparked up and started smoking during the Manics set, and security didn't make any effort to move them at all despite the visible smoke, and instead decided to rove through the crowd and aggressively pull out people who were just jumping around a bit from what I could see. They tried to take me at one point but I was stone cold sober and standing still!

A great night.

One bit that confused me: “we’ve only played this song 4 times, once was at the stone roses’ last gig where we first played A Design for Life... here’s Forever Delayed!”

Great night! I really enjoyed it. I wasn’t really expecting much but the sound in Wembley was actually really good. Great set list too.

That was Wembley Arena too, could he have meant they’ve only played there 4 times?

FD isn't on the setlist for that Stone Roses gig either. Also, didn't they play it on every night of the GH tour?! I think Nicky was just talking bollocks!

Is Nicky drinking at gigs again? Looks and sounds like a fun night, shame the tour is over. Wish they'd put on one hell of show and film it for a dvd / blu ray release, even just a small limited one, some bands do, so the Manics sure as hell can manage it.

I think he got confused with how many times they’d played Wembley since he listed them and that was the stone roses references.

Nicky is always wrong when he says he remembers what songs they played where. In Dublin on the THB tour, he said they never played Mausoleum in Dublin despite Dublin being one of the three places the song was played during the original tour.

Logging in for the first time in years to post and say how good last night's gig was. Best I've seen them in years. Probably in part due to the last three shows I've been to either being weighed down by expectations/baggage (Cardiff THB and Swansea EMG) or just plain weird (Brighton futurology). Anyway, felt like they were back to their best last night. Great atmosphere and they seemed to really enjoy it. Shame there was no Show Me The Wonder but you can't have everything!

I was at that Stone Roses gig. They played five "new" (Everything Must Go) ones and five old as I recall. 4 Ever Delayed did not feature. I remember that as they took the stage, Nicky introduced themselves by saying "It's only us!"

The London leg of the Forever Delayed tour was in Wembley Arena if I remember correctly, I imagine that's what Nicky was referring to....

Wasn’t the 4 Ever Delayed preamble a tenuous reference to their having played Wembley Arena on the Forever Delayed tour of 2002? (That’s what I got out of that bit, at any rate...)

It's the fourth time they've played Wembley arena? (Stone roses, FD tour, LB tour and RiF tour?)

I wonder if part of Nicky's confusion was Ian Brown supporting the FD tour show at Wembley in 2002.
