It will be their biggest performance around the release date of the new album. Other than Nicky having to backtrack (and he's an expert at that) it would make no sense to focus on an old album.

Either way, whatever they play will be met with indifference if the last time is anything to go by. The farther away from the Pyramid Stage the better.

Headlining The Other Stage would be good.

i hope they do Lifeblood in full at Glasto. why not? Nicky treats the festival with contempt and disdain, as do the band that album, even though quite a few disagree on both fronts.

or they should do all of SATT, saying "yes, this is the pop shit you sell-outs and corporate whores want, isn't it"

or all of PFAYM, except with no bass, so Nicky can walk around the crowd and punch everyone who did not buy the album they made for "you, the kids"

What with Nicky's back and knees the way they are? Unlikely!

true that. guitar & bass only versions, then - Sean will just have to climb up on top of the Pyramid stage with one of his high power rifles

Last time they played an evening slot on the Pyramid as I recall. Before that, headliner ( )

This time round they could be anywhere really. Pyramid (low down), Other (not headliner) or John Peel headliner perhaps.

I don't know why they would put themselves in the position of doing that when they clearly don't like playing some of the songs. It would also be a bit of a slap in the fact to the fanst to do it in a location most of them couldn't get tickets. I really doubt it will be a hb set.

I'd even stick my neck out and say that they won't play any THB tunes at all in their 45 min slot.

You're forgetting 2007. Sorry for reminding you of it.

"oh, that Olympics thing looks really good, wish we had done it now"

"oh, that JFPL tour was good, wish we had done a video of it now"

"oh, that NT gig went well, wish we had done a video of it now"

to be Nicky Wire with a decision is a life of regret, is it not?

there is, as ever, much wisdom in your words. Glasto set will have zero surprises, standard flogging hits / latest album stuff.

if they get the nod that they will be on the tele they might throw in a fan wanted number, thinking that more fans than usual will get the chance to see it?

I saw them at Glasto when they were flogging Lipstick traces so we got Judge Y'Rself and Take The Skinheads Bowling!

We also got the first ever live performance of Die In The Summertime, This Is Yesterday and Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. That was a great gig.

Was that really the first time they did DITS? Blimey, I wouldn't have put money on that.

You're right! Could have sworn I saw a live performance of it on Youtube from then. Might have had it confused with Revol...
