I read this thread in its entirety. Very funny. I must hear "Underdogs" now.

Songs from the Manics I don't like, five from the top of my head -->

1. Drug Drug Druggy
2. This Is Yesterday
3. Revol
4. Ocean Spray
5. Let Robeson Sing

Come on! There's got to be an emotional personal story as to why you hate This Is Yesterday!

I don't know, I never liked it. And I thought there would be more like me, but I've never heard anyone on this forum say likewise. I think it kills the spirit of the album... I guess I find it "boring".

This Is Yesterday is the only "uplifiting" (for me anyway) song on there musically. Does She Is Suffering kill the spirit of the album or is it nothing to do with the pace?

"She Is Suffering" sounds dark, "This Is Yesterday" doesn't sound like it belongs on there.

WHAT? This Is Yesterday? WHY? <speechless>

the same with the rest, you've probably written my favourite Manics songs and I'm shocked BUT WHY THIS IS YESTERDAY?

This Is Yesterday is the much needed shaft of light on THB.

The song was initially gonna be about Brian Robson, but he wouldn't allow it.

I did find it a bit peppy compared to the rest of THB, but I think it's adorable acoustically!
