we really need the Arctic Monkeys case thread

''I repent im sorry everything is falling apart''-'suck it and see' is a really good record-as on many occaisions I was wrong! x

that's Nicky on twitter. is this one of his bipolar moments again or do you have another theory on his changeable mind?

(dear mods, feel free to edit the title if you see such need)

Me before seeing Editors: ''Eww, they suck! Not another indie shit band again?!''

Me after seeing Editors: ''OMG, I love Editors, they're fucking brilliant! How did I manage to live without them in my life??''

So...eh.

Maybe he's realised that he can't say he loves good-looking, articulate bands with lofty rock n' roll ambitions but still have their feet on the ground, and then go slagging off Arctic Monkeys. It really isn't a compatible outlook.
Well done Nicky for achieving a sense of consistency in your beliefs.
Now we just need him to take back the idiotic things he's said about the internet and we're halfway there.

Suck it and see is by far the worst one so far.

Whatever people say I am was awesome, since then they have vastly deteriorated.

He also just needs to realise that Arcade Fire are one of the best bands on the planet and get over it.
If he just listened to the words on We Used To Wait he'd realise they're singing about the same thing that the Manics were on PFAYM, albeit in a much better way.

They should make another record with Josh Homme, but do it like he did the early ones in the Desert Sessions series of albums; head out into the desert with your instruments, neck a load of mescaline and leave the tape running.
