Aye, was just coming to post this update. Fuck. Need to get people 'streaming' however that works!!!

Does streaming count if you haven’t bought the whole album?

Not sure how streaming stuff works at all. I keep playing my album on CD on Amazon on the MP3 rip that comes with it when you buy albums. Probably does nothing at all but I like to think I'm at least trying. Shame they're gonna miss out yet again, it's so disappointing for them

Where are the figures coming from? The official chart says they are no.1?

Google says :

In the new structure, 150 streams of a song equals one paid download, and ten paid downloads equates to an album download. So, an artist's music will have to be streamed on any of the approved, included services 1,500 times for an album “sale” to be counted

Soooo not much it seems! your CD rip won't count as your physical album counts as one sale

Oh yes... 7quid plus postage. I'll never play it as I threw my cassette players away years ago. However, I figured the inlay may be handy to get signed after a gig. Plus the extra sale of course!!

Since this album got to #1, hopefully they won't try to appease the masses with their next one, and try to do something a little more difficult for the masses to digest.
