Gone for 95'-99' just for my Truth bias but love all the eras really cos of the differing styles of each album. On Journal he sounds as awesome as ever!

During the GATS era. 93/94 was his peak. He recorded great vocals for GT also and EMG era was also good, but I'm afraid he can never reach the peak again. The photograph contained in GATS booklet is singificant

For me, it has to be TIMTTMY. As much as i like his vocals on Lifeblood (apart from the final note of Solitude Sometimes Is being slightly flat, which really grates when i listen to it!), i think TIMTTMY is more consistent and sounds more natural.

I'm torn between Journal and Lifeblood but as usual, Lifeblood wins hands down.

Seconded.

TIMT is perfect, James' voice at that point could make hearts bleed.

I voted 1995-1999 because I love the honest emotion in his voice in EMG and the vocal purity in TIMTTMY.

I find his voice too over-emoted or over-trained in LB and even parts of SATT.

However, JFPL shows his amazing range of singing styles without being overdone.

I'd say his best singing definitely reaches its best during Lifeblood.

i have no issue with any of James' singing, so by default clicked on the option for the one and only time we saw the band live, 2002....

His growls in Faster and Comfort Comes really does it for me so 90-94 got my vote.

Comforts Comes! Probably should've given the 95' and earlier eras a bit more consideration. Ah well. I'll still stick with what I voted for originally!

IMHO it has to be EMG and TIMT. I LOVE those albums. SATT is a close 2nd, followed by GATS.
