I'm always a bit paranoid but the scarf they're talking about might be the French flag we (Magali & I) gave Nicky in Bristol, with the short letter explaining the social situation in our country at the moment, and why he couldn't hate such a revolutionary nation. (revolutionary is a big word, but you get the idea)

Anyone has a picture of the micstand so we can be sure?

You know, you can't do this with Facebook, just think about a gig and drag all the memories up from the depths of the forum.

I never said, in the days after the gig, how cold that night was, and how the stars were incredibly clear and bright in the Lake District sky. I got home at 2 am, absolutely hyped and absolutely exhausted at the same time, possibly even hallucinating a bit. It was a drive home that has always stayed with me.

I agree, good old forums eh!

I was also there, and my main memories are:
- Nicky asking James if he needed him to do the solo slot because James was recovering from some cold/flu type thing, and being told 'no'. I was a bit disappointed to not see Nicky perform 'The Future Has Been Here 4 Eva', one of my faves, or him in the limelight, but obviously still a great interlude from JDB.
- The power of James' (Gretsch?) guitar on Golden Platitudes.
- A Welshman James/the band knew at school (maybe?) shouting at them and the band saying something along the lines of 'they get everywhere'.
- Buying a t-shirt from a street seller, and genuinely only having £10 in cash so getting it cheaper than what he wanted. After buying it, being called a rude 4-letter word by the seller who thought I'd driven a hard bargain... nope mate, that's all I had. How rude!

It was a brilliant night. Almost a local gig for us. Makes a difference. Met some really great people and loved the set.
