Manics Albums as EPs

Had a thought for a thread I haven't seen before: Manics albums as EPs! Basically boil down each album to four tracks that define the album. No other criteria other than the four track limit, feel free to include b-sides and non-album singles as long as they belong to the era in question.

I'll do my full list later (currently sitting in a toilet in Heathrow Terminal 2) but here's mine for TUVL. My criteria is based on tracks that sort of meet the grand statement or feeling of album so not necessarily my favourite tracks or singles (my GT EP and EMG EPs have BIG omissions).

Love Sweet Exile
Suicide is Painless

Updated my EPs except for KYE because it's a total mess of an album.

Well, KYE’s first four tracks could work as an EP. They’re all different and all show what the album’s about.

This is a random one. But I like it! The thing with EP’s (for me at least) is they tend to follow less of a dynamic than an album, and arguably a narrower scope. As a result, these EPs miss out some great tracks because there’s a particular vibe I’m trying to stick to with each one.

Generation Terrorists EP:
Slash n Burn
Stay Beautiful
You Love Us
Repeat

Gold Against the Soul EP:

Sleepflower
Yourself
Drug Drug Druggy
From Despair to Where

The Holy Bible EP:
Faster
Revol
Die In the Summertime
PCP

Everything Must Go EP:
Enola/Alone
Australia
Further Away
A Design For Life

This is my Truth, Tell me Yours EP:
The Everlasting
If You Tolerate This
My Little Empire
Black Dog on my Shoulder

Know Your Enemy EP:
Found That Soul
Intravenous Agnostic
Dead Martyrs
Freedom of Speech

Lifeblood EP:
1985
To Repel Ghosts
Solitude Sometimes Is
I Live To Fall Asleep

Send Away the Tigers EP:
Send Away The Tigers
Your Love Alone
I Am Just A Patsy
Indian Summer

Journal for Plague Lovers EP:
Peeled Apples
Marlon JD
Journal For Plague Lovers
Jackie Collins…

Postcards from a Young Man EP:
It’s Not War
Postcards from a Young Man
Some Kind of Nothingness

Rewind the Film EP:
This Sullen Welsh Heart
(I Miss the) Tokyo Skyline
Anthem for a Lost Cause

Futurology EP:
Let’s Go To War
Walk Me To The Bridge
Futurology
The Next Jet To Leave Moscow

Resistance is Futile EP:
Sequels of Forgotten Wars
