Seen many worse Festival Line Ups - Caribou in particular were fucking ace at Green Man last year, if anybody was considering going - but I don't think I'll be going to that.

Lineup looks pretty good. I would go to Latitude, but I suspect it's full of parents and their mewling children and the sort of people that bring their own yurts and moan about the quality of the quinoa.

I suspect that you are right about this. As somebody who isn't even entirely sure how to pronounce quinoa, I'm probably best staying away.

Rather that than groups of 16 year olds at Reading on their first outing without parents, setting fire to tents, blowing up gas canisters and screaming in random peoples' faces!

Oh, and the Manics can't even headline a medium-sized festival now, either?! Dear oh dear.

Headliner status is driven by popularity and sales though isn't it? We'd be fools to think that The Manics are that "popular" any more. Also, when you do see who is headlining Festivals these days - Elbow, Mumford & The Fucks - I'm quite happy that the Manics have more of an alternative / second stage headliner type status.

I find the continuing popularity of Alt-J baffling.

The vocals sound like K K Slider from the Nintendo game, Animal Crossing.

Mmm. If Evan's CarFest is announced next week it's grounds for divorce.
