Short 4 star review in the new Mojo. Despite the stars it's a slightly mixed review, says something along the lines of 'you begin to wonder if this could be their worst album but after giving in to its musical style you start to suspect it might be one of their best'.

They don't like Blank Diary Entry but Still Snowing in Sapporo is called out as an 'anthem'.

Can we maybe perhaps not do facecrap links? Some of us have no interest in lifting all the blocks we have in place to give any more data to that garbage company. The record collector article has already been posted anyway…

And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

"Look over there, to the left!"

"But I'm looking to the right!"

Not that I don’t kind of agree with Tim about Facebook in general, but thank you for drawing attention to the review regardless

Do you perhaps have a phone camera pic of the review?

The record collector one sounded promising...

Man these reviews have got me preeeetty excited for the album. "Career high" and comparisons to Lifeblood and Futurology... I don't expect it to be as good as Lifeblood (any two tracks from Lifeblood would blow away the two we've gotten from TUVL, just the sheer grace of that album's sound...) but still. I do like the tracks and the sound of them. Thinking this might even be on par with Futurology.

I remember when there was no internet and stood in WHSmith reading every page of the music mags - also finding out who was touring!

Anybody read the review from The Times? It’s so weird. It somehow manages to be sarcastic and derogatory whilst still awarding the album 4/5.

As for this review from Kate Solomon for The i Paper, what utterly lazy crap. I’ve been a fan for 23 years and there are Manics albums I dislike, even one I downright hate. If this one turns out to be crap, I’ll be the first to say so. But you know what I won’t do? Toss off a poorly written and horribly generalised review like this. If you didn’t like it Kate, then maybe give us some reasons why, eh? Perhaps do the thing that music critics are supposed to do; critique.

The descriptions for Into the Waves of Love sound horrific and it’s got love in the title so you know it’s the next single.
