All signs pointing in either the right direction or to another Lifeblood, which isn't necessarily the wrong direction just not quite the right one either.

Lifeblood is always the right direction.

But I don't think the signs point clearly to any of the past discography's direction, which is exactly what would be the best thing - I want the Manics to surprise again, to offer something brand new.

It's on Gigwise now too. How long until NME get a hold and blow things out of proportion?

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if by the end of the year some tracks haven't been leaked out of the studio.

So the band used Faster for the demos then off to the studio proper. Honestly I really don't care in which direction the band go. As long as it's quality and damned good.

Looking forward to what they come up with this time!

I often get annoyed at the Manics for being so reactionary against their previous album. But while this sounds like the antithesis of PFAYM, it means that it shouldn't be a steaming bag of piss. I am excite.

Yeah, I doubt it'll sound much like Lifeblood; they still slag it off whenever they get the chance so I can't imagine they'd go out their way to make something particularly similar to it...sadly.

I expect this same enthusiasm when the new album comes out!

Oh it'll be there. I've been overcome with excitement for every album for the last 12 years except PFAYM.

It can't get any worse than PFAYM. But this does sound like it could be good!
