Strong start. Let's hope it can stay top 10. Never heard of "Sea Girls".
Are The Levellers still around?? Surely Nicky will be pissed if Peace takes over

(No, we don't want to give peace a chance)

My wife is a Levellers fan but also likes the Manics... very confusing situation to be in.

Album of the day on 6 music with album tracks being played all day

Rumours that JDB could get his first solo number one

The 4 copies that I bought can’t hurt

Sea girls were on the London news last night. Guitar band , no girls in it ...they talking about the threat to small to medium venues and how it'll be hard for new bands to play if they go. Newsreader mentioned they had a number 2 album. Shame they dint talk to the chap at number 3

The album chart is now in a similar state to the singles one when The Love of Richard Nixon and Empty Souls made top three. They should do a multiformat anniversary edition of Lifeblood so it can finally claim its top ten spot while selling significantly less than it did at the time.

PS. Biffy Clyro have put out three cassette versions of their album. I admire their hustle but it’s a bit pathetic.

I don't care for Chart positions, maybe 20 yrs ago when it meant something but no way now that's a Industry Pop thing which never reflected the Indie scene.

I get what you're saying but it's still kind of nice to infiltrate the chart with something different.

Also it's not like the Manics have ever shied away from wanting to be popular.
Brit Awards, Smash Hits, CDUK and Strictly Come Dancing prove this.

I think there's a fair bit of misunderstanding about the band in general and I don't think they are indie at all.

Luke Skywalker: I'm endangering the mission... I shouldn't have bought the album
Han Solo: Well The Levellers have got a new record out?
Luke Skywalker: Yeah, but there's a limit!!

Oh no, I want James to hang on for top 5, it'd be cool to see it on his discography for all time, despite the charts meaning little these days to most people, but still.

Swifty just put the up-to-now physical copies only bonus track from Folklore up for streaming / download, so that'll be bumping that up the charts somewhat for the next few days I'd guess.

FD Twitter has told me JDB's 3rd podcast contains an exclusive track... we're starting to build up quite the collection of odds and sods already for a makeshift Even in Exile - Extended Edition;

From the Acatama Dust
Versus Echo, With Tear Flow
5 demos
4 session tracks so far (Absolute Radio / Janice Long), unless I've missed some?
3 extended video mixes of the "singles"
