GATS reissue?

I do like it when a demo shows the evolution of the song rather than just sounding like an unpolished version of the final version.

The guitar sound is a bit too joyous in my opinion, and it's interesting how the "Roses in the Hospital" lines during the verse sound so much like Bowie seeing as James has admitted that he used Sound and Vision as the inspiration for the music. Not too sure about the post chorus noodling, can see why that didn't make the final version, but overall a very interesting listen.

Yep. I can't tell if the more recent demos are too self conscious ("we put them all on the second CD so it can't be a dogs dinner") or if their experience means they can get to the finish point of a song faster. But a lot of the more recent ones are basically just the finished song with a different drum track or bit of keyboards.

It's their home cassettes and stuff often isn't it? I always get the impression it's Nicky pushing this stuff over the others but I dunno.

In the early days when they were supposedly horrified that a load of demos got out (Stay Beautiful and stuff like that) I always wondered if it was James who really cared about that

I mostly hope the mastering is good - MSP has a horrible track record of squashing their recordings.

Someone posted the brick wall the other day, but tbh I've never really seen a problem with it.

They fucking do you know, PFAYM anyone? That's why I think RTF was such a breath of fresh air for the band and fans.

Don't think GATS has suffered too much from it though - the album surely contains Bradders' best vocal performances.

Bought mine from Amazon UK, they haven't shipped yet.

There have been monumental delays by the way... especially at the ISC centers in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
