I really hope he is ok. Last night was really upsetting. I can't stop worrying about him (as if I have any real right to do so).

At one point (about three quarters of the way through the first half, I think?) James had quite a long chat with him by the drumkit, and I really got the impression James was trying to persuade him to end the show early. I think I'd have actually preferred that, for Nicky's sake.

Sore back or whatever, there is no need to have been the way he was. He was very rude to a fair few fans. He came across as being a complete cunt. Sorry to say it but it's true. One girl was trying to get a CD signed and he glared at her and waved her away when he got on the bus.

The gig was ok but there was a definate air. The crowd weren't very engaged and it was deathly quiet between songs. The new songs were lost on the majority.

I was stood on the barrier by the speakers near James and the crowd were fine in that lil area, majority of the crowd were quite quiet, though to be fair I have always found Leicester quite tame (which I like coz I can get at the front without getting squished!)

My opinion is that bothering someone who's visibly in pain with silly stuff like autographs clearly shows a lack of empathy and sensitivity that I consider ruder than glaring at someone.
They don't owe us shit.

They weren't exactly bothering him. The girls were actually very sweet to him. He clearly was not in the mood for it but still he is in the public eye and could have apologised for his attitude.

I agree, he was probably struggling through every second of being on stage by the sound of it, and just wanted to get off and get himself sorted. He soldiered on to the end and put on a show to the best of his ability, is that not enough?

I didn't realise Nicky was so ill, I was quite far back so I didn't really see him. Hopefully he'll feel better soon. I still can't get over the crowd though! I think I was the only one singing where I was was stood, everybody else was just stood with blank expressions. It felt so awkward in the crowd. I'm pleased I got to see them though, I really thought I wouldn't be going to a gig on this tour!

Wasn't there so I don't know who it was but I will say that not everyone watches nicky so closely that they know how much in pain he is, and not just grumpy or something...and secondly some people only get to go to one gig and may never have met the band before - that kinda thing tends to affect emotions over logical thinking a little...

Certainly an odd one. Certain songs really took off and I loved it, whereas a few others just didn't sound right. Got the impression Nicky wasn't feeling great, but his playing was spot on and James carried it well. The crowd was one of the most subdued I've ever seen, but again it didn't bother me too much as it allowed a bit of room near me, and I was five people from the front. Hope Nicky feels better soon.

I did also get the feeling that something was up with Nicky at the Cardiff gig too, didn't seem himself. Really hope he gets better soon.
