The article is nice but the photos were a bit disappointing as its Angus's ones from their website pretty much (with the exception of that James one and another one from that article), and no disrespect to Angus's photography skills (though never ask him to take a fan photo if you wont everyone involved to appear in it) something new would have been nice. Also it does the annoying thing where the photos aren't of the gigs they are talking about, a being a pedantic fucker that kinda thing irrationally irritates me, not to mention the fact the giant sandwich picture doesn't even get a look in. Instead theres lots of the dessert and Detroit sure as hell looked nothing like that.
Though credit for the fact the 'Behind the Wire' heading is neatly positionned next to the picture of erm...Wire's behind. I doubt it will be the album title as I quite like it, and usually I hate things. Last edited by Amanda; 30-10-2009 at 14:21. |

I like it as a title, although INWJTEOL is lacking in the catchy acronym department.

In that case, they should call it Grandiose Artistic Technical Structure or something like that, just to be awkward.

Actually, scrap that. Gratuitous Title ought to do it.

Really good article - you know it's a good piece when you find yourself thinking, I wish it was longer.
I especially liked the referrences to Detroit's urban decay and economic hardship. However, unlike the article suggests, it's not just the current economic woes that have put that city in the shitter; Detroit and many parts of Michigan have been slowly falling to ruin for the better part of 30 years. It's always been a hub fir manufacturing on the US east coast and with the decline of manufacturing in the US, Detroit has suffered greatly as a result. It's a shame because people from that part of the States are lovely - salt of the earth types who don't deserve that kind of hardship. I think they also suffer from really poor political representation too. For those of you who have not been there, it's a lot worse then even this article suggests. Anyway, really enjoyed reading Niven's take on the tour. Probably the best analysis I've read so far. Thanks for posting! Btw, next album will be "commericial"? Tell us something we don't already know, Wire! |

I'd prefer a plain, self-explanatory title like Songs About The Theocons. |

My friend Ailsa just text me, she has posted on here before (Xarrr) and has been to 3 or 4 gigs with me, the text said she seems to think she has spotted Will in one of the photos and she has cut the article out for me, ha ha.
