I heard a whisper through the grapevine about through a friend in the business before the announcement, plus a reasonably priced hotel booked already and possible guestlist. Be great to hear Interiors and Further Away live at last too. Consider me happy with this.

I couldn't believe this, but looked and you're right (using a journey in January for comparison), AND it takes 8 hours. I'd save your money or fly.

Yep I agree, if there is a flight from near you. I flew from Glasgow to the Cardiff gig this year and it was cheaper than a bus!

Wish I could go to this :-(

Although Public Service Broadcasting? Yeah, I can live without that again.

I just hope they announce a tour like last spring. I jumped on the Cardiff Castle tickets only for them to announce a tour..

I'm holding out for a tour as this gig is only two weeks before my exams (which I won't get much study leave for seeing as I work full time now) and a bit far to travel. Plus although I've never seen them do a stadium, I can't imagine it would be as enjoyable for me as seeing them in a smaller venue. I just don't feel like they'd be suited to it.

I've booked this.... The album probably works in the sunset and it's usually summer in late May in Swansea, it rains from the middle of June til a week in September.

Lived there for the last 4 years before moving to the smoke in July. Parts look rundown but it's not a "shithole" as people want to pretend because they've chose not to go. Probably will go for cheap seats as this isn't the Holy Bible. The fact the two support bands are excellent swayed it for me.

Anyone who wants tips on Swansea just ask, sure it's not changed much may even frequent the excellent no sign wine bar (even pleasant enough on a Saturday). I used to walk back to the town on match days so its not a massive walk probably get the 30's to the ground don't even bother with the 4 (Though I heard they axed the bendy bus).

Aye, booked a place just before the announcement thanks to various whispers.. Gonna make a long weekend of it I reckon, night before and after in Cardiff, gig night in Swansea.. Got decent deals for that, £140 for three nights can't complain.

I'll be surprised if there isn't a warm up for this..

Gonna be like a reverse Holy Bible show this - soft stuff and hits in the first half, darkness after!

I can't drum up any enthusiasm for this gig. I love EMG but it's very much an album that will bring the pricks out in force. The tickets prices are steep and the fact I'd have to fork out more for accommodation just doesn't encourage me.

Ummm, they've taken a big risk doing a stadium show in Swansea methinks. For that reason, I wouldn't expect any other shows which would likely prove much more attractive and take numbers away from the Liberty Stadium.

Personally, pitching up for a gig at a football ground in Swansea doesn't hold the same attraction as seeing THB at the Roundhouse and even Cardiff Castle. And the cost...taking me, my wife and son by car and with an overnight stay would be about £400 all told which is big money.
