So if they put out Complicated Illusions as the next single on 18 different formats/colourways/flavoured vinyl, can we get them the number one single to complete the Manics Win 2021 theme?

Surprised that Manics also made No.1 for album streams, while Steps finished 5th. I expected Steps to win that one. We fans are getting good at this

Did they win? Yay!
Insert dancing kermit gif here.
That’s our boys that is.

What a fun week it’s been eh? I didn’t honestly think they’d get another number one album but chuffed for ‘em.
Easy to be cynical thinking ‘well, it’s just the fanbase buying them’ but so what? Any band should be so lucky being on their 14th album and getting top spot and still with such a loyal following.

I don’t like slagging other bands off, and slagging off their fans directly is even lower
Yeah, bit uncalled for that considering many fans have been buying umpteen copies of tuvl. Besides, the manics liked steps enough for the it’s not war riff homage.

Very interesting to see 91% of Manics sales were physical. Manics were never going to lose. You would imagine that a rock band would pick up more casual or impulse or general music fan sales than a 20 year old pop group. Never in doubt!

You see, that’s why I set that post up in the previous one with:

Now, what to do with that Manics heart tee I’ve got coming…
We’ve all done a lot of crazy stuff this week. For us it was worth it. It’s the PFAYM shoebox that haunts me.

I do actually hope Steps get another No.1 after this. They and their fans went all in this week and H is a nice guy. It’s three No.2 s in a row for them. They are us now.

That said, some of the tactics were vulgar. Fans of both who preordered got completely shafted. Now the curse has been lifted I’d rather Nicky didn’t go into battle with a pop act again.

They fought a good fight but the tatty looking manics frigate belies its determination and well worn experience in battle. It knocked out a couple of spars with the bow chasers then tacked to leeward and fired the final crushing broadside before they had time to come about. Never underestimate the msp stay beautiful.

9? Get a life.

You should've ordered a normal number like I did (8).

Real Steps fan account, sadly. Might have been the one that was retweeting lots of Covid conspiracy stuff and stanning about Steps and little else, I'm not clicking through again to find out.
