I've been inspired by the incredible restoration work of Cecilia Jimenez to create this amazing restoration of the original Blackstar image.

I call it 'amat opificem XXX'

Porco - Cecilia is arguing that hers "is not finished yet", will you be defending yours the same way or as far as you are concerned is this now done?

Thank you for your interest in the art d'Porco. It's a pleasure to bring you all my enhanced version of this wonderful image, especially during my productive 'plasticine rubbed in margarine' period of works. In many ways, this whole journey has inspired my upcoming triptych, 'Morph, Morph and Chas'.

I think my work speaks for itself. And it's saying it loves that amp.

But I hardly think it could be improved any further. I mean the state it was in before was appalling, you couldn't even see what he was thinking, and the words were all thin and boring. I think that settles it, doesn't it? Anything else I did to it would be some kind of ego-trip, as if I were to be thinking I could surpass the original, rather than merely equalling it in every possible way.

I had thought about signing it at the bottom, but I decided not to in the end, out of respect to the original artist. Also, I ran out of space in the bottom-right corner. The only other finishing touches that might have been considered are the obvious ones, such as a unicorn, a rainbow, or a garden gnome, but I think all three at once would have been too much for people to take and it's obviously so hard to choose between them.

most noble restraint. quite a sacrifice for your art.

i would, as respectfully as i can for it is not my place to point direction to you or any of the other great artists, say wait and see what the bonkers woman in Spain does to Jesus next. if it is her will, for instance, that the Messiah should in fact be administering a blessing to a gnome as it rides a unicorn through a rainbow, then let us not stand in the way of a portrayal of Bradfield, James of Dean performing the same act.

btw, you don't really address the speech quotation given to Bradfield, James of Dean. very wise. scholars, for decades from now, shall debate the entirely superfluous use of the word "in" from the words.
