I like this description. I get farming images too when I listen to that song. If not farming, at least countryside and such stuff. And sometimes I tend to see colours fitting for certain song, well, for this one, it's the colour of straw.

But, then, yes, not neccessarily a bad thing for me. Although as a city girl I prefer urban things, sometimes a "country feeling" comes good too. I'm very variant in my moods.

I really don't see what that added to the song. Can someone explain to me?

For me, it worked really well. Added some history / nostalgia, quirkiness, contributed to the 'rural' 'soily' sound I mentioned earlier. Also it provided a nice literal echoing of / link to the Rewind The Film line 'playing my old records'. "The dust blows forward and the blows back" sounds like another reference to 'rewinding the film' as it were. It also mentions death (see my thread, Death, Death, Death), a personal thematic fave of mine on the album, as well as the sun and sky (another thematic repetition that strengthened both the song and the album).

Just my interpretation of it, other opinions will be available.

It doesn't sound quite right, illogically, to me without the sample.

Although neither does Peeled Apples without the Zane Lowe intro.

Still love this, does anyone think we might get a re-run from Nick on this tour?

I think you might get the next Futurology song sung by Nick instead.

I've no idea! Just a random stab in the dark. But there was one on the last two. It's not a deal breaker if there isn't. But it'd be interesting if there was one.
