Looks like seating on the official site unless the seats can be removed

Huzzah! Really glad to hear that.

So what time are you lucky ones heading down there? I'll be there at about 10 but I won't be hanging around too much in the arctic December weather, just hope I don't randomly don't get let in because I wonder away to sit down and rest in the hotel room. :/

There is a balcony area (of sorts) at the back of the 'Stute, but the 'main' seating area is one of those pull out/folding type things that you see at arena type venues. It folds back underneath the balcony, which I imagine is how they'll arrange it for next week

Congratulations all those going. I'm in Caerphilly, and NO-ONE I know who applied for seats from the area, and Cardiff got tickets. I've heard of quite a few people who've got on the guest list through various connections though. Ah well. I might loiter around just in case this bad weather holds out and most of the audience don't turn up!

Found a picture of the seating here

Obviously the chairs move, and the other bit of seating is the slidy bit. Looking at that, I'm now even more jealous of people going! It's such a small venue, and a big event for the Manics to be playing the venue of their home town.

It's a 400-seat auditorium which should cover the competition winners.

Update from the Radio 2 website. They want questions from Manic Street Preachers fans.

Manic Street Preachers will be performing an exclusive show for Radio 2 at Blackwood Miners Institute in Wales, featuring classic hits and songs from their new album 'Postcards From A Young Man'.

Your Questions
On the night we'll be putting some of your questions to the band, so if you're a Manic Street Preachers fan and you've got something you've always wanted to ask the guys about their songs or songwriting, then email it to inconcert@bbc.co.uk. Please note: we can't guarantee that all questions sent in will be used.

Come back here to watch the event live from 2100 on Thursday 2 December. You can also join in the pre-gig chat from 2000 on the night.

Of all the locals the Manics could possibly play, this is the one that I would personally give anything to witness. I'm a bit of a sentamentalist so the idea of them playing a gig in their actually hometown is insanely amazing! Congrats to you lucky kids who got tickets! I'm very very jealous, but ecstatic for all of you at the same time. Enjoy!

I hope some of you lovely and generous peeps will do us non-UK'ers a solid and record the show. Believe me, it would be incredibly appreciated if you could do that and share. Cheers!

I've been to this venue once before, back in 2003 and it is tiny. Whilst I am lucky enough to see the boys on Tuesday, I'd love to be at this.
