Encores are alright for some bands, like the older ones that have been around for donkeys years. Just a bit of fun. But I like with the Manics that once Design is finished that's it and I can head for the merch stall!

Encores are fake, egotistical, and irritating. Unless it's the rare occasion that the band has had to do it sponaneously because the crowd just won't leave or stop chanting. Then, it's awesome.

Think it was Nicky that once proclaimed..."Encores are for indie bands"

I should imagine for groups to just stop doing encores if they have always done them would be a bit hard, they would have to announce it maybe before the tour so that everyone would be aware. I think the Manic's are the only group I've seen who don't do one, I've seen a few acts which do 2 blood encores!!!

The encores always seem to contain a bands signature tune as well, so you know it's coming. The lights go down, no roadies come on stagen to pack up, you wait for no reason then they come back. WOO HOO!

The encore they did in Cuba was a proper encore. JDB hadn't even bothered to relearn the words to Rock N Roll Music.

As they said themselves, that so-called encore at Blackwood wasn't an encore at all, much like the so-called encores that every other artist pre-plans in their sets these days.

I really need to find some food, I've spent more than is reasonable time wondering what a 'blood encore' was. Do they self-harm on stage? Like us or we go for the jugular?
