That’s the response from Nicky we were waiting for. A matinee performance!

I’ve only bought the standard CD. It’s more than enough. However, I would be willing to buy the Amazon yellow vinyl just to piss Steps off if it drops to £12.49.

The ball is in your court, Nicky. Get on the phone to Jeff Bezos and see what you can work out.

I bought the Amazon vinyl and it came in the most* ludicrously bad packaging for a vinyl I’ve ever received. Literally a brown paper (not card) envelope. Let’s hope that is not what it really takes for the Manics to hold on to no.1.

*technically I’m going to say 2nd-most ludicrous but that is an off-topic, longer story for a different time.

Just wondering, where are the sales figures coming from? The charts site just seems to show mostly chart placements

Haha that's quite funny, them adding two little shows with a q&a making fans buy another album, but I guess it will help. I'd like to go but too far for me to go for such a short thing. If the yellow vinyl went down to half price on Amazon I'd buy it!

There seems to be some sort of logistics issue with the yellow vinyl so I don’t think they want to make it any cheaper than it is. Still waiting for mine

Offhand thought; in much the same way they used the success of SATT to justify the release of JFPL, I wonder if they’re pushing for TUVL’s success to justify the KYE reissue? Obviously it’s done and next in line regardless, but it gives them that easy PR line again, doesn’t it?

Jo Whiley voice: "The number 1 band return to their groundbreaking album Know Your Enemy, featuring such pop classics as My Guernica, Royal Correspondent and the timeless Wattsville Blues" cue clip of Nicky singing "Even though my, my brain, it fucking bleeds"

Steps just released a new 5-day anniversary edition of their album with 20 bonus tracks.

Fine, they win. Now we can get back to the important business of slagging off TUVL.
