I sincerly hope they will realise all the cds in less expensive European versions, won't they? I' ve halways wondered how could be a dream come true having all the b-sides and rare tracks with the best sound quality in a cd for every related studio album. The Japanese versions are always synonym of highest quality, but they' re so expensive!!!!

I read somewhere that they decided to skip the DVD release of Everything Live entirely, and just take it straight to BluRay.

Damn being broke!! My mates wife is Japanese and is going home for a visit next month. If I had any money I could've got her to buy me them and save on P&P!
I'll have to keep my fingers crossed too for a uk release.

Led Zeppelin got an official box set of them released in the UK last year.

UK release

Japanese release

Humongous price difference.

Just found this on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LZ52XE - Diamond Dogs by Bowie mini-lp for £14.17.

I reckon they'll get the Manics' ones too so I think I'll wait personally and get free Amazon delivery

Cool!
Perhaps this is what Nicky's been doing with the spare time he's (presumably) had from not having to write any lyrics?

Anyway, with these and the Nano-mugen festival it's certainly been a good day to be a manics fan in Japan!

...Would still give up any number of remastered CDs + bonus discs to get them to do a proper tour over here though

Actually, there's already a listing for them all (no price yet) on amazon.co.uk. Here's the GT one. Amazon also claim they'll be in stock on May 12. Sweeeeeeet.

THAT' S ALL THE NEWS BY NOW... That kind of news that makes me happier in this rainy day, here in Italy. I was tempted to get the remasters from Japan, but really too much expensive. Now I can hope...

it would be weird to have Sony release these reissues in the UK and not have them start to promote them now. to be honest, if they did release them in the UK, i wouldn't expect them until months after JFPL is released. i'm sure they wouldn't want to take away sales from the new album by putting out the reissues.

but then you have to wonder, would they re-release all the albums except THB and EMG?

either way, i'm keeping my order the Japanese reissues open. they're not gonna charge me until the order ships anyway. i want to make sure i have the first pressings.

that would be kind of pointless considering Everything Live wasn't filmed with "high definition" equipment so the BluRay quality wouldn't necessarily look that much better then DVD quality. regardless, i doubt they would skip a DVD release altogether (Japan or otherwise) because BluRay still isn't the common video format of choice of the general public.

Good to know thanks, been eyeing this thread then looking in horror at how little my bank account is sitting at. If they're already imported I may stand a chance :-)

those japanese mini LP things tend to find their way over here anyway i think, Fopp here in Manchester has all the Spingsteen ones available for either £5 or £10 each or so.

really like the look of these, but think i'll hold back a while, see what happens with them over here.

Well, amazon release dates are notorious in my mind at least for being wrong half the time...
