My favourite was 2004 and Nicky saying "Lifeblood is The Holy Bible for 35 year olds".

How I laughed - what does that even mean!?!

"Lifeblood is the THB for people that have never listened to THB".

Can't we abbreviate it to the slightly offensive "FO"?

Anyway...

I do like the fact that people are trying to predict what an album called Futurology will sound like. It is fantastically apt.

It drives me insanse when people claim they *know* what it will sound like based on obscure b-sides from 2010.

I'm praying they change the name. It is truly awful.

They should do homage to this cover.

Thanks to Mar I keep thinking of it as "Fut-Urology", which is not an improvement!

I looked on a Prince forum to see how they refer to Musicology. The best I could find was...

An era of absolute shit music that's still going strong today.

Well, that's of no help whatsoever when it comes to shorthand but at least I've found myself a soulmate.

I absolutely love Badfinger! I went to a Pete Ham tribute gig in Swansea a few months ago, organised by some of Pete's old friends and band members. Got to meet a lot of Badfinger people such as Ron Griffiths and Dai Jenkins (who were in The Iveys) and Bob Jackson. Also got to meet his daughter and other Badfinger related families. It was very interesting! JDB was invited to play by the organisers but either the message didn't get through to him or he just ignored them (I know this for a fact ).

There's a new set of Pete Ham demos that came out earlier this year as well... I'm going to try and bung JDB a copy the next time I see him.

That sounds awesome. I'd love to have been born when they were going strong. I have been listening to a few bootlegs they did at Carnegie Hall. Excellent stuff. Still can't forgive them for Magic Christian though!
