Yes thanks. In a way I wish he'd already written over 80% of it already and are just waiting for the quotes from the band.
I gave my copy to a friend and I didn't get it back.

I'm not sure I'd love wading through a scathing chapter about how bad he thinks Lifeblood is.

dint think of that, though on podcast he wasn't at all scathing if memory serves (often these days it doesn't serve at all )

I’ve never read it I don’t think and when I’ve looked online it’s silly money.

Amazingly, he's only ever written one book up until now (well and a new one about The Cure, so two books)

It's a yes from me

I generally find him utterly obnoxious so avoid him at all costs, but I do recall him putting This is My Truth and Lifeblood at the bottom of a Manics albums list.

big no from me, he is too far from objective to write anything of use. was so excited to get 'everything' and so bitterly disappointed at finishing it. i had fanzines that were more objective (and interesting to read - thank you iconoclastic glitter )

Sure why not, no one else is going to do it and it's always nice to have some written record for the sake of posterity.

Clicked on the link, looks like I'm still blocked by him. I've never interacted with him on twitter, but I did once like a slightly critical reply to something he tweeted. I can only assume that's why I'm blocked!

So it's a no from me I remember being disappointed with "Everything" anyway, it was surprisingly full of errors for someone who supposedly knew the band so well.

Oh! I thought he was writing a follow up book of similar length.
An update still interested in. But would the original book be tampered with by Simon? The book would have more room for the author to look back over feelings when it had been published.
How big the update? Because Everything originally went up to fifth album. They've done another seven.

I don't think there would be as big an interest in just a separate update. Is Everything out of print now? There'll be lots of people who haven't read it so people will pick it up for details of the early stuff. That's where the most interest is.
