Cheers for the interview link, it was lovely to hear Nicky's take on everything. Festival No6 sounds as if it's going to be brilliant.

Wonder if we'll get an encore there then after he said they had been re-thinking things?

nah he quickly said *that doesn't mean we're going to* or something like that. I don't see how doing encores is going to suddenly make a massive difference to anything. If he said they were stopping James's acoustic spot then that would make me raise an eyebrow.

More interesting was that he mentioned giving up songs to ads and a few weeks ago saying they might end up doing 5 nights at Brixton with the holy bible. That's more *doing what everyone else does* . They've already ventured into encore land with the breaks during the JFPL tour and the singles marathon at the O2 anyway. Didn't the Blackwood gig have one aswell? I'm more interested in what ELSE they're thinking

Late to this party but NEVERMIND.

The more they say about this album the more interesting and unusual it sounds. I'm taking the OH WE'RE THINKING OF SCREWING ALL OUR PRINCIPLES thing as overblown Wire provocation, I don't think he really means it - from the rest of what he said, they've readdressed their ideals, but that doesn't mean they're abandoning them.

For me the main and best thing from this is NICKY SANG 'REWIND THE FILM' ORIGINALLY JUST LIKE I THOUGHT AND HOPED, FUCK YES, THE DEMO VERSION HAD BETTER BE OF THIS OR I WILL BE VERY VERY VERY UPSET. Silly lovely not wanting to sing it himself. It would have been amaaaaaaazing.
