I'll tell you what....
I've just listened to SATT in about 2 years and it shits all over PFAYM.
SATT is probably their best era since TIMT in terms of song output. I didn't appreciate it at the time but the songs are tight, the production is tight, and although I would have put Fearless Punk Ballad as the hidden track its hard to argue with the tracklisting. And whatever happened to I'm just a Patsy? They played it live at the start of the promo and tour but then shelved it. Anyhow much respect returned to SATT. |

I don't understand the SATT hate. But then I also liked PFAYM so my opinion might be voided. I still like Underdogs.

I do like the drum roll in Underdogs. The edit though...

YLAINE was on the radio today. I didn't really like it at the time but it's a great tune that. SATT's got quite a few great tunes. Lyrics - not so good.

would have to disagree there, the title tracks lyrics are superb!

What edit?
Is it different on the 7-inch? I can't be arsed to dig it out.

I grew bored of SATT fairly quickly (despite loving it at first) and then rediscovered it after the PFAYM "debacle". I originally thought SATT was quite a pristine, recorded-for-radio type of album, but then PFAYM ambled along and made SATT sound like a raw rock record in comparison. I've seen it in a new light now as an album that was really just the sound of the band hammering out songs in a room without an agenda. I still only like about three songs off it, but it was quite an energised period looking back.

Nah they're equal in their blahness really. The music on Know Your Enemy and Lifeblood (individually) is more interesting than SATT and PCFAYM combined.
If anyone's still got the free download they made from the official site/here (I think) that's apparently got the full version according to wiki.

PFAYM is (mostly) SATT done right.
SATT is SATT. :i

Funnily enough, when I recorded Underdogs for the site (see below) I put an edit in the exact same place, and just pasted the second verse in.

SATT would be great if it had some of the B-Sides from YLAINE on there, replacing the utter shite like AutumnSong, average FM rock like YLAINE, The Second Great Depression and the title track. Still, it's better than PFAYM and just about beats GATS in my book.
