It appears you can get a train to Carmarthen, but I'm stuck from there - it appears the local bus service doesn't run on a Sunday. So if anyone's able to give me an idea how much a taxi's likely to cost from Carmarthen, I'ld be grateful!

Oh Lord. THE EXPENSE. Yeah, any sort of public transport to Laugharne from Carmarthen isn't really going to happen.

Sadly, short of buying a car and magically getting over my phobia of driving, I'm kind of stuck with public transport. Getting to Carmarthen looks to be straightforward enough, it's just the last bit of the journey that I'm struggling with. Damn me and the fact that just sitting behind a wheel is enough to give me a panic attack.

For a non-driver himself, Nicky seems to continually pick the most awkward places in the country to do solo things.

That is not the point. Mind you, I am a complete hypocrite in that I still do occasionally use my parents as a taxi service when I'm at home (I do ask nicely. And make many cups of tea and coffee as payment).

well it's about 15 miles away or so so if a pile of us use a taxi it shouldn't actually be too expensive.

I'm definitely going, regardless.

All this talking about it is making me really want to go, which shows the gig in Glasgow had a much worse effect on me than I previously thought in that I am considering paying money to hear Nicky talk without the presence of James' guitar...

Oh sod it I'm going! No money and no job from that week but planning this will put a smile on my face and £12 wont kill me. Transport and somewhere to stay is another problem...
