i dunno, James voice was quite raw in GT, GATS era, nowadays he can sing properly and can sing a bigger range, i think it's his oxygen levels he struggles with these days

...which can be hardly described as "better" I think.
I like what James did on JFPL last year and although his best years were 93-94, he's still a great singer and it's not the end of world. Maybe there's one think I can't stand last few years and that's his slight vibrato he's started to use.

The falsetto replace for shouting is a bit annoying, but its better than listening to him try to shout and fail

(6) of Ready For Drowning or Facing Page Top Left

I'd drop La tristesse, Little Baby Nothing, From Despair To Where, No Surface All Feeling and Ocean Spray for this tour.

All the classics: YLU, LBN, ME, Tolerate, YLAINE and Motown Junk. 3 Lifeblood songs. 5 new ones. Peeled Apples and 3 others from JFPL. A surprise GT one. 3 b-sides and then stuff like Tsunami and Australia that usually get played anyway.

James had a double-neck guitar/bass, no?

And similar for Wattsville Blues, altho James had a regular bass for that one.

I think...
