starting to skip tracks now: preferring to start the album with Walk Me To the Bridge rather than the title track, and have little patience for Hugheskova popping up inbetween SPL&M and Black Square...

I have a tendency to skip Divine Youth, not because I don't like it but because it just doesn't fit.

Interestingly, I've not yet reached the point where I'm listening to individual tracks. If I'm listening to Futurology, I'm listening to the whole album from start to finish.

Interestingly, I've gone to single tracks exceptionally quicker than I usually do.

I very rarely listen to an album back to back, there are always songs I love and ones I absolutely hate. Can't think of a single album that has a perfect run of songs for me.

I'm in 'Listen to it to death' mode at the moment!

I don't dislike Hugheskova per se, it just seems to get in the way a bit: would've preferred SPL&M and Black Square back to back, with Hugheskova either opening or closing the album.

I'm still trying to get used to Walk Me To The Bridge and Europa as part of the album flow - shouldn't have played them so much before the album came out!

Put Rewind the Film on for the first time in a few months this morning. Sounds so much more futuristic than Futurology

Likewise.

The flow of the album from Divine Youth to SPLAM to Hughesovska to Black Square is just weird. I like all the songs though.

I've had a completely shitty and stressful week. You know the feeling of when your body aches from the stress and upset and if your mind isn't constantly focused hard on something you cry without realising it.

Whenever I feel my brain is going to explode from more bad news, I get in my car and drive with this album on. So far, every time I've done this I've come back smiling. Not sure anything else could make me smile right now. I feel like I get a hug from old friends when I listen to it, definitely a comforting album.

So after about 5-8 plays of the album each day since Monday, I'm not skipping tracks very often. When I do it's usually Walk Me To The Bridge, Lets Go To War and Misguided Missile. I skip those because I crave some of the others and can't wait to get to them

Glad the album is having that affect! Yes, it is an uplifting record!

a few thoughts from a norwegian fan.. i fell in love with the manics in 96. everything must go was a change in my life... you know... teenage years and the feeling of an album that gave a complete different kind of feeling than the rest of music those days.. i have been a major fan since, and each manics album after that gives me a feeling of self confindence, happiness and hopes for the next album.. well.. not send away the tigers maybe

so. this is their 12th studio recording. this record really almost takes me back to 96... i havent been this exited since the long wait for timttmy.. i can honestly say its their best record since 96... all the songs are almost flawless.. if i should be VERY critical, the only dissappointing thing is the production of lets go to war ( the live version is really great ). sex, power, love and money is an average son in my opinion.. but everything else gives me that feeling of greatness and hope.. futurology, divine youth and between the clock and the bed is one of the best songs they have ever written... damn...
