I'll add my piece to the puzzle. Very good review by Il Mucchio Selvaggio, 8 out of 10.

But... - it's in Italian! You have to translate it now, you have to!

Funtimes with google translate

More than twenty years ago Wales gave birth to a prostitute rock , including literary quotations , eyeliner and proletarian anger , promised to release an album that would sell millions of copies , except to send them all to hell in a moment and melt. None of these promises was kept and today , after eleven studio work , several excellent collaborations and several records achieved, it should be recognized to the Manics not only a place for it within the contemporary music scene , but also the undeniable and rare gift to know how to turn each output without losing sight of their identity.

Rewind The Film is the confirmation and the trio back into the game with an almost totally acoustic in which the tools that over the years they have increasingly characterized are present sporadically, by the arches in the gloomy title track ( with Richard Hawley on vocals) the trumpets ( Anthem For A Lost Cause , the single Show Me The Wonder, one up-tempo track in the lineup ) . Yet this is not a record of forty as they get older playing darts and drinking tea , nor the result of those who let themselves be overwhelmed by melancholy ( they did not even during the torment that was the disappearance of Richey Edwards , a key figure in the history of the band) . On the contrary texts , transparencies and disenchanted , are among the most inspired of their recent production. Political invective ( "it 's the longest running joke in history , to kill the working classes in the name of liberty ," 30 - Year War ) alternate with intimate acts of awareness ( "I do not want my children to grow up like me , it's too soul destroying , " the Sullen Welsh Heart) creating images in sharp contrast with the general cleanliness of the sound. It is this overlap of music and words that gives rise to new forms , disturbing and hypnotic as the huge paintings by Jenny Saville them so dear . In '92 the band was singing Born To End and sooner or later it will happen. Not today. Not with this record .

I am too lazy but it's good, very good. I just translate the last sentence: In 92 the band used to sing Born to End an it's going to happen sooner or later. But not today. Not with this album.

It's a generic one, part of an article About bands that formed in the 90, but it's good.
