I think it's significant it didn't get 100% anywhere. Listening to it I understand that :-/

Oh sure, how many albums get 100% or 10 out of 10? I'll tell you how much - not too many.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but that is not true. Laut.de gave it 5/5.

They're not getting big coverage i.e half a page/a full page - generally the 200 word reviews with quiet critical reception which is dignfied but I don't expect their singles to chart in the top 40 or the album to be making headlines which i'm sure deep down will wind Nicky up a little!

It's most likely going to bomb like Lifeblood. That single would kill any album off. They might want to take this into consideration when it comes to choosing the lead single for the next album.

I love the new album. I'm pleasantly surprised, because I didn't like the title track and Show Me The Wonder when they were released.. Now I see they fit the whole album perfectly. And This Sullen Welsh Heart is simply beautiful.

Who gives a shit if it doesn't set the "charts" on fire? The singles chart, the album chart, the Brit Awards, the Mercury Prize...none of these things means fuck all anymore. The days when those things mattered are long gone.

The only thing that matters is whether or not you enjoy the album. I do, you clearly don't. So that's that! Move on...

Nicky must have had a raging boner after seeing that. You can normally rely on the Financial Times' critics to turn a tower of flesh into a semi...
