Not that I feel there is any need for yet another single, but they really do seem determined to ignore the 3 best tracks on the album, don’t they? None of them released as singles and none of them performed live.

Well, your 3 best songs might not their best 3 songs. HMLAH is my pick for best song on the album... *shrug* (Mirror Gaze is my second favourite and it’s not even on the UK album, there’s ignoring! )

I would like to hear all of them played live too though. ‘Sequels....’ doesn’t seem all that hard to play... (though I could be playing it completely wrong, and am not being a drummer... or singing... so ok, what do I know?! )

The "single" is just to complete the trilogy of videos that they love doing. I'm looking forward to it. I still see all these female figures as some kind symbolic stand-ins for Richey.

Holding Patterns and Mirror Gaze on the digital EP please guys - this is the first time in ages I haven’t bought the Japanese release after the previous bonus tracks turned up on subsequent releases, don’t fail me this time round..!

A Soundtrack to Complete Withdrawal sounds a bit like a Futurology song

So if this another video trilogy this could be an interesting pattern starting to emerge. I love the Rewind The Film videos. Would love it if they thought fuck it and got Keiran on board for an album film project, summat like Suede’s Night Thoughts which I fucking loved. James has got a soundtrack under his belt...

I remember a few years ago reading an interview with Billy Corgan saying the album is dead. Obvs not speaking for him, but I can see that with how the way we consume music changing so much, there’s a point. I wonder if there’s much more traction for a straight up 12 track album anymore, suppose as the audience evolves the artist needs to to keep up. Singles have changed a lot but videos are still being made even if singles aren’t being pressed. Oh I’d fucking love it if they came out with a pretentious concept fucking rock opera album or summat.

Would be nice if all these videos were put on a DVD but I guess sales would be fairly low.

Billy corgan is wrong. He's someone that likes playing obscure songs at gigs and boring people to death

I once saw Smashing Pumpkins do summat like four singles in a 22 song setlist, how I'd love Manics to do summat like that! I can't even remember what he said exactly, but it was around that time he was going on about this Teargarden Kaleidoscope thing or whatever the fuck it was called, when he was saying about releasing EPs bit by bit to eventually become a box set.

I think there is a point though, cos all the streaming stuff has changed the way people listen to music so much. Course, cds gave people more freedom to skip songs than records and cassettes did, bit of a faff to skip or repeat tracks on those too. People sticking iPods or Spotify playlists on shuffle and shit like that. Albums are a long way from being dead, but don't think they're what they were.

I was expecting something really great for such a top song, but from that clip it's gonna be another boring video of that woman walking around. Really does nothing for drawing the attention sadly zzzzzz. Give me the band walking around on fire again, that got my attention 20 years ago and made me become a fan!

For the manics 22 b-sides and album tracks would be amazing but thats cos i know all the songs . I go to see a fair few bands live where i'm not so familiar with their stuff so I can understand people wanting to hear the songs they know. If they play songs people don't know there'd be complaints that the crowd are unresponsive. I love that they've chucked in horses under starlight for these gigs. You wanted an obscure b-side people ? YOU GOT ONE

And now the Smashing Pumpkins are doing a nostalgia tour of all the hits in arenas later this year because Billy is broke.
