Agree on the yellow CD, love it.
Yeah they’ve responded and looking into it. Good service tbh.

Just whacked it on and I’m currently on Diapause. Some catchy choruses and the standouts so far are TSHHM and DLTNDU. Complicated Illusions up next which I’m looking forward to.

First impressions is that it’s nice but I think RIF had a bigger first impression on us, although the good tracks on TUVL are very very good.

Edit - Complicated Illusions is as epic as I thought. Listening through a Sony 7.1 and it absolutely fills the room.

My friend Sean just pointed out to me the similarity between “The Secret He Had Missed” and “So Macho” by Sinitta and now I will never hear anything else ever again.

Yes, I can totally hear that now you (/your friend) say it.

Could this help you get over your ABBA-vibes allergy or does this make it even worse for you? !

I’m sorry mate but this is never going to be my kind of Manics album. If it sounded more like Lifeblood, then I’d be singing a different tune.

Sorry it’s not working for you Richey. It’s the most Lifeblood-ish-sounding album they’ve done IMHO, but I do think it has its own thing too so I get it won’t be that for everyone.

Japanese popcorn? Have never tried it. Wouldn’t mind tasting it.

Currently #7 on Canada iTunes pop chart and 34th across all genres.

Was pointed out some weeks ago on here and yep. Another great MSP single rewrite.

There was a thread cataloguing these, called "old songs leave long shadows", yet another deleted one

Nicky’s dream is already dead. Drake sniped Iron Maiden in the UK chart and is still doing the equivalent of 5,000 sales per day.

Can anyone tell me are there many photos of the band in the regular and deluxe CD booklet?

Hope to purchase regular tomorrow, and thinking of Japanese Deluxe for the bonus tracks. Love when there are a few band photos. RIF deluxe had 3 or 4 nice band shots.

There aren't any in either, sorry. There's a nice series of scenic photos though, IMHO.

I am thinking "no, no, no" in Don't Let the Night Divide Us is (sardonically) possibly quoting Thatcher's speech on the EU, which for me improves the song that bit more, adding that little dig under what is otherwise so earnest

It's interesting to me it wasn't in either of the demos, you get a "woah" in the Nicky demo, then a "woah woah woah" in the presumably later James vocal demo, then the "no no no" in the finished track.
